The One-Man Star Wars Trilogy [B]

I just loved this show. I only give it a B because it will only appeal to certain people. First, you have to have some knowledge (at least some memory) of "Star Wars." You don't have to be an expert, or even a groupie, but you do have to be able to get the myriad in-jokes about the movies/plots. If you pass that test, then you'll like this one. It's irreverent, silly, and very funny - "Saturday Night Live" style humor at it's best.

The Master Builder [B]

It's Ibsen done well and classically - what more can you say. The Pearl is always good at giving life to the classics. This is a tough show for me, but I do seem to get a bit more from it each time I see it; five or six more revivals, and I think I'll understand it. :-)

Walking Down Broadway [B]

This is the world premiere of a 1931 Dawn Powell play. It's great fun to watch - very well acted and directed. The sets feel quite authentic too, but most of all the play just feels like New York in the 1930's. It's a nostalgic trip even for those of us who can't possibly remember the 30's.
